Terms of Service
Effective date: [07/22/2026]
Welcome to Hospitality Is Life. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Hospitality Is Life LLC ("we," "us," or "our") covering your use of the Hospitality Is Life mobile application and website (together, the "Service").
By downloading, subscribing to, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who May Use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service contains information about alcoholic beverages and the hospitality industry and is intended for hospitality professionals and adults of legal drinking age. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
The Service creates an account for you automatically so your saved recipes, community posts, and subscription status stay with you. You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account and for the display name you choose. Do not choose a display name that impersonates another person or business.
3. Subscription, Billing, and Cancellation
Full access to the Service requires a paid subscription.
- Price: $2.99 per month (U.S.), or the equivalent price shown in your regional App Store.
- Free trial: New subscribers receive a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and the monthly charge applies.
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Your Apple ID is charged at confirmation of purchase and again at each renewal.
- How to cancel: Cancel at any time in your Apple ID account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Deleting the app by itself does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds: Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its own policies. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
- Price changes: We may change subscription pricing. If we do, we will give you notice, and any change applies only to future billing periods. You may cancel before the change takes effect.
4. Community Content
The Service includes community areas where you can post messages, photos, job listings, recipes, and replies ("Your Content").
You are responsible for what you post. By posting, you confirm you have the right to share that content, including any photo you upload.
You agree not to post content that:
- Is harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory
- Is false, misleading, or a scam, including fake job listings
- Contains another person's private information
- Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Is spam, repetitive promotion, or unrelated advertising
- Is unlawful or encourages unlawful activity, including over-service of alcohol or service to minors
Moderation. Community posts may be reviewed before they appear publicly. We may remove any content, or restrict or terminate any account, at our discretion and without notice, particularly for violations of these Terms. We are not obligated to monitor content, and we do not endorse content posted by users.
License to us. You keep ownership of Your Content. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, and distribute it within the Service so we can operate and promote the Service. This license ends when you delete your content, except for copies already shared by others or retained in routine backups.
5. Job Listings and Third-Party Information
The Service includes job postings, union information, employer details, training programs, education providers, supplier listings, and links to third-party websites.
This information is provided for convenience only. We do not employ, endorse, screen, or guarantee any employer, listing, school, supplier, or third party. We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, available, or legitimate, and we are not a party to any application, hiring decision, purchase, or agreement between you and a third party. Use your own judgment, and verify opportunities independently before sharing personal information or accepting an offer.
6. Recipes and Responsible Service
Cocktail recipes, techniques, and related content are provided for informational and professional reference purposes only. You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to you, including licensing requirements, health and safety rules, responsible beverage service laws, and prohibitions on serving minors or intoxicated persons. Nothing in the Service is legal advice or a substitute for required training or certification.
7. Our Content
Except for content posted by users, the Service and everything in it — including text, recipes, layout, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by Hospitality Is Life LLC or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for your own personal and professional use. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, scrape, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Access the Service through automated means, or scrape or bulk-download its content
- Interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your access for a reason other than your violation of these Terms, you may request a prorated refund through Apple. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses already granted, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any information in it is accurate or complete.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hospitality Is Life LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost income, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Apple
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
